INTERNATIONAL SWISS STYLE By Camille Obligis

This booklet is about my own abstract interpretation of the International Swiss Style and my research around its main founders and its background. I really appreciate this style because it focusses on the main purpose of graphic design; simple yet beautiful
communication.

It touches on an important component of communication: user-friendliness. It is interpreted by its grids, its layouts, its geometric patterns.  It is also a way to go outside of one’s comfort zone and think further about being simple but original.
Modernised version:
I decided to use bright colours as a variant to the red, black and blue that we could see in the work of the founders. My main focus was on the use of geometric patterns and how they complement typography, rather than the use of photography.
